what happened to the O.C. California?

so here i am in santa monica, ca. just overall since i have arrived in cali, it has been terrible weather. rain rain rain rain rain. good choice of vacation days, right?

so i wake up at 4am wednesday morning to get ready and do last minute packing. i hop into a limo car taking me to newark airport at 5:30am to catch my flight at 7am flying to lax. i wait in line to do curbside checking, and when i get to the front of the line, they tell me that i have to go to special services. odd, right? i end up just having to get checked in there. i take my bags to get xrayed, and line up to go thru security. of course, they look at my boarding pass and say, "you see these s's on the top of your pass? that means that you have been randomly selected to be searched completely". they say this as they are wearing latex gloves. so i'm already 30 minutes away from havin gmy plane take off without me, and they're feeling me up. i mean, come on. how many times are you going to check for a weapon across and between my boobs. literally, more than 3 times. violation. what is goin ON with this?

how's THAT for impulsive?

*FYI, i'm writing as if it were still tuesday*

so i'm going to LA tomorrow. plans are nailed down. when did this happen? today. if you want to get technical, yesterday was the planning. i'll be taking a terribly long plane ride from nyc to la, with my day starting at 4:00am when i wake up to get ready, catch a limo car to newark at 5:00am, and have my aeroplane take off at 7:00am. i will sleep the entire time, promise. should i even sleep? i think i'm needing a nap, cause i'm fixin to pass out- thanks to charlex keeping me working for 12+ hours today. delightful. how many hours does it take for a person to be bare minimum functional for the day without feeling like trash? how much sleep do you get? ok, i'm out. this is silly being awake in my condition.

material things bring happiness... for a second

so yay. i have just received a lamp that i ordered from urbn.com that i have been wanting since- i think sophomore year of college. it was $69 dollars back then, and it's $69 dollars now at the flyingA here in new york, go figure... that is, until i found it on urbn.com. it's an illuminated block lamp. i'll post a pic when i upgrade my geek status and figure how to post pics up. it was much cheaper than $69 dollars (do i really have to put a "$" sign in if i'm using the word "dollar"?)

some other material posession good news... i have managed to get these songs that were on a Howie Day Madrigal DVD on my iPod. it's the EXTENDED E.P. the DVD rocks with Howie doin his one-man-band, super-sweet acoustic looping. i suggest that you contact me to find out the next steps of getting this on your iPod or computer. life is much sweeter with the right soundtrack to coast through. don't you concurr?

oh. and the jets lost. rams won. we're in. wild card. exceptional game. if we lost, then that would have been a closing deal to having my heart implode within my chest. i quite liked watching football on my sofa all day in the company of my dog. my parents seem to worry that my only company was trinity. i told them i interacted with a plethora of 3rd and 4th graders at church, so they shouldn't be concerned with my social life.

second (or third) time's a charm

so here i am trying this whole bloggin thing again. this could be my second, possibly third, blog. i started a new one to keep people from seeing how utterly lame i was a year and a half ago. i read through some of it, and i felt ill at some of the crap i put in there. so here we go... clean slate. fresh start. here's to the new year, a new blog and keeping busy doing nothing. new year's resolution #1: not to start another blog, no matter what.

by the way... watching a way crucial ny jets/stl rams game. if the rams lose, we don't go to the playoffs. it's been a rollercoaster of a game. if the jets win, i am going to throw my christmas tree out my window. no joke. so people at ground level better start praying... less they find a christmas tree in their eye. overtime... here we go...
